Physiotherapy works in partnership with families to provide assessment and intervention for children with delayed motor development.

What to expect

Individual sessions of goal based therapy with home exercise prescription  

How to access this service

Referrals are received by phone to the admin officer via the parent or health care professional. The physiotherapist will contact you to arrange an appointment.

What to bring

Medicare card, and referral if you have one.

How to get there, including by public transport

Driving is recommended as public transport to the hospital is limited. Bus services to the hospital run from Wollongong and Port Kembla train stations. There is also a bus service from Warrawong Plaza. Please refer to local bus timetables for available routes.

Car parking

There is limited parking on the hospital grounds. Timed and non-timed street parking is available. We encourage families to allow additional time for parking when accessing the service. 

Additional information for accessing the service

Disability parking spots are located at various entrances to the hospital. There is lift access to Level 3 where the Child and Family Service is located.

Head of Discipline - Physiotherapy

Anne Smith is the Physiotherapy Head of Discipline for the Illawarra and Shoalhaven Local Health District (ISLHD). She brings 27 years’ experience in Physiotherapy, having worked in a variety of settings including Hospital, community, and private.

Anne is responsible for providing professional leadership of Physiotherapy services across the LHD including Hospital and community based services.

The ISLHD Physiotherapy Department provides a broad range of clinical services and is committed to providing a comprehensive, professional and timely service.
