Simon is the Director of Emergency Medicine Training at Wollongong Hospital. He attended University of Nottingham medical school in the United Kingdom (UK). He trained for 4 years in paediatrics (including neonates and Paediatric retrieval) before finding emergency medicine. His EM training was based in Bristol in the South-west of England but included a year at the Royal North Shore hospital in Sydney. He dual qualified in Adult and Paediatric emergency medicine in 2009 and worked as a consultant in Cheltenham and Gloucester in the UK. He emigrated to Australia in 2012 with his young family. His professional interests are medical education, research and Paediatric sepsis / fever.
