Dr Michelle Golden received her Doctor of Medicine degree in New York at The Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 1997, and completed her emergency medicine training at The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in 2001. She became a Diplomate of the American Board of Emergency Medicine in 2002 and a Fellow of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine in 2007.

Dr Michelle Golden first moved to Australia in 2007. From that time, she worked at Wollongong Hospital Emergency Department for over 6 years before moving back to the United States to become an Assistant Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Having now returned to Australia permanently, Dr Golden is a Senior Staff Specialist in Emergency Medicine at Wollongong Hospital.
