Intensive Care Unit - Wollongong Hospital
Overview
The Intensive Care Unit at Wollongong Hospital is a 24 bed Intensive Care Unit, which provides Intensive Care services to the residents of the Illawarra and South Coast.
Intensive care refers to the specialised treatment given to patients who are acutely unwell and require extra Nursing and Medical care.
The health and wellbeing of people receiving care in our unit is our top priority. We also consider it equally important to support family members and friends through this challenging time.
The condition of someone staying in ICU may change frequently. The staff are here to help and support patients and their families/friends throughout the stay.
