What the service is
The Child Protection Counselling Service (CPCS) is a tertiary level counselling service provided by NSW Health, for children and their families where Community Services has confirmed child abuse and neglect.
What we do
The Child Protection Counselling Service (CPCS) offers counselling to families where physical, emotional, psychological abuse; exposure to domestic violence and/or neglect has been confirmed by Community Services. We can assist parents and caregivers to make positive changes so that they are better able to look after the safety and wellbeing of their children. We can also assist children and young people by providing counselling to address the impact that abuse has had on them.

Counselling, child health development and emotional health and wellbeing support
How to access this service
CPCS accepts referrals from Community Services, Joint Investigation Response Teams and the Children’s Courts. If you feel that a referral to us would be beneficial for a family, it is important that you discuss this with the Community Services caseworker involved.
