A major transformation of Wollongong Hospital’s Birthing Unit is underway, with work starting today on the $2.2 million redevelopment that will provide a more modern birthing space for local women and families.

The new Shoalhaven Hospital Multi Storey Car Park will open to the public from Tuesday 17 December. The new car park will provide more accessible car parking options for all – staff, patients and visitors. Fees will be introduced at the new car park from 13 January 2020 with prices set at regional rates.

Stage one of the Wollongong Hospital Children’s Ward redevelopment is now underway, thanks to a $1 million pledge from the i98FM Illawarra Convoy & Illawarra Community Foundation.

The early works associated with the redevelopment of the Children’s Ward at Wollongong Hospital are complete, thanks to a generous $250,000 donation from the Illawarra Community Foundation.
