Sponsorships

Sponsorship is a partnership where the sponsor gives money or products/services to support an event, activity, or person. In return, the sponsor gets agreed benefits, like advertising or promotion. Sponsorships provide an opportunity for NSW Health, including Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District (ISLHD), and the community to work together to deliver projects, events and other activities for public benefit.

Incoming sponsorships

NSW Health receives support from these types of sponsorships. This involves a sponsor organisation purchasing (by way of money or in-kind support) benefits to associate the sponsor with NSW Health’s sponsorship activity. This type of sponsorship offers organisations a valuable way to support health initiatives.

NSW Health supports sponsorship opportunities that focus on what’s best for the public. All sponsorship requests must go through a careful approval process, regular checks and a thorough review to ensure sponsorship opportunities are fair, transparent and achieve value for money as per the NSW Health Sponsorship Policy Directive

Sponsorship proposals must also align with NSW Health's CORE Values of collaboration, openness, respect and empowerment.

NSW Health will not accept sponsorships that could cause a conflict of interest, are linked to political or discriminatory groups, go against NSW Health’s values, promote harmful products or services, or suggest that NSW Health supports a certain product or service.
