High Risk Foot Service - Wollongong

New Patient Clinic

This is for people attending the Wollongong service for the first time. It is run by the podiatrist, diabetes educator and dietitian. The new patient clinic provides a thorough assessment of your foot problem, diabetes, and nutrition. This clinic can help find what is needed to help heal the foot problem and develop a plan to do this. 

Multidisciplinary Clinic

The multidisciplinary clinic is offered to clients who need additional support to help their foot problem such as those with poorly controlled diabetes, those with concerns of / or have a current foot infection, those whose wounds are not healing as expected. This appointment is supported by medical and surgical specialists to help heal your wounds.

What to bring

  • A referral letter from your local doctor (GP) which is addressed to Dr Matthew Luttrell, High Risk Foot Service - this only needs to be provided once every 12 months
  • Please bring a record of your blood sugar levels either in a diary or bring your meter.
  • Medicare Card
  • List of the medicines you are currently taking including any herbal or over the counter medicines.
  • Medical images (x-rays) and other recent test results related to your High Risk Foot appointment.
  • A snack (if needed), appointments may take up to 1-2 hours.
