Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District is reminding people to once again be vigilant about their health, with smoke from fires north of Sydney affecting air quality locally.  The fine particles in smoke can irritate the respiratory system and aggravate existing lung and heart conditions.

Residents across the Illawarra and Shoalhaven can be assured that emergency, acute inpatient and community mental health services will continue to be available in Shoalhaven, Shellharbour and Wollongong over the Christmas and New Year period.  The wellbeing and care of our mental health consumers is always our first priority.

In the spirit of fun and healthy living, the Aunty Jean’s Koori Mini-Olympics returns to its birthplace in the Illawarra for the 15th annual event. The Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District’s (ISLHD) is hosting the Koori Mini-Olympics at the Illawarra Hockey Stadium, Unanderra on Wednesday, 23 October 2019.
