Patients need a referral to see a kidney doctor (Nephrologist/Renal Physician) at our outpatient clinics.

The Kidney team includes:

• Anaemia Coordinator
• Kidney Dietitian
• Kidney Disease Nurse
• Kidney Supportive Care Nurse
• Nurse Practitioner
• Social Worker
• Transplant Nurse
• Vascular Access Nurse

Referrals are made by General Practitioners (GPs) or Specialist doctors for things such as high blood pressure, protein in urine, and kidney disease.

The kidney doctor will look at ways to slow the progression and treat causes of kidney disease.

Our clinic nurse will see patients before they see the doctor. The nurse will check weight, height, and blood pressure.
