It is illegal to smoke or use e-cigarettes in many outdoor places. This includes:
- Within 10 metres of children’s play equipment in outdoor public places.
- Public swimming pools
- Sporting grounds and other areas used for organised sporting events
- Public transport stops and platforms, including ferry wharves and taxi ranks
- Within 4 metres of an entrance to a public building
- Outdoor dining areas
To help businesses and sporting clubs highlight outdoor smoke-free areas, there are tiles you can upload to your website or use on your social media page to remind your customers about smoke-free areas.
