Most smokers want to quit, but it’s hard to do it without help. Lots of people try many times before they stop smoking for good. If you want help quitting, we offer the Illawarra Shoalhaven Quit Smoking Service, Text 2 Quit and the Smoking During Pregnancy Text Messaging Service programs.

The Quitline, the I Can Quit website or the My Quit Buddy app are other great resources to help you quit smoking.

You can also talk to your doctor about getting a script for cheaper quit smoking medications.

Quit smoking medications

Going cold turkey when trying to quit doesn’t work for everyone. Quit smoking medications or nicotine replacement products such as gum, patches, lozenges, spray and inhalers can help you manage you cravings while you are trying to quit. Talk to the Quitline or your doctor about how best to use them.
