Communicating with patients, community and other stakeholders
Do you have messages that you want to share with patients, community and other stakeholders? Wondering how to reach them?
Your channels
Media - newspapers, TV, radio
The Illawarra and Shoalhaven have several dedicated local news outlets, including newspapers, TV and radio. Media is one of the key ways that people get information, and since health concerns all members of our community, it generates a significant number of stories. Sometimes local articles will also generate stories in state or nation-wide media.
ISLHD website
The ISLHD website is an ideal way to get information about your service out to patients, the community and other stakeholders.
Social media
ISLHD has a presence across a range social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube. These pages and channels have a large number of community and stakeholder followers, so are ideal for reaching a wide range of audiences.
Patient brochures and posters
The production of patient resources - ie brochures and posters - is managed through the ISLHD Clinical Governance team, via PIP (Patient Information Portal), a process and resources located on the intranet.
The Media & Communications Unit can provide advice on content, including wording and images, at any stage of the production of your resource.
