ISLHD has a number of channels that can be used to get information to staff, patients, their families and carers, and other stakeholders. These include:

  • The ISLHD website
  • The ISLHD staff intranet
  • Social media channels
  • Newsletters and noticeboards
  • Emails from the Chief Executive
  • Media - media releases and interviews
  • Consumer resources - brochures and posters

The Media & Communications Unit can advise you on which channel, or group of channels, are most appropriate for your messages. They can also help you with submitting your messages to these channels.

The Media & Communications Unit can provide advice on your messages - wording, structure, focus, angle, audience, etc.

The team are happy to review your work at any stage, and give advice and feedback to make sure your final products are as effective as possible.

Fundraising

The Unit can assist with, and advise on, fundraising.

Donations can be made directly via the Cashier at each facility, or via the "Get involved" button on the ISLHD website home page.

With any other fundraising, it is important that you approach the Media & Communications Unit before plans or activities commence. The Unit can provide advice and support on setting up the fundraising within all NSW Government and ISLHD policy guidelines. This will ensure that all the benefits of the fundraising activity go to the relevant department.
