Mass Vaccination Centre | Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District (ISLHD)

Illawarra Shoalhaven’s COVID-19 Mass Vaccination Centre in the Wollongong CBD is located in the former David Jones building in the Crown Street Mall. It provides both the Pfizer and AstraZeneca vaccines and, subject to Federal supply, has the capacity to offer up to 2,500 vaccinations per day.

It is the state’s fourth mass hub, which services all of the Illawarra, Shoalhaven and surrounding communities, including southern parts of Sydney, the Southern Highlands and South Coast.

Free parking

Wollongong City Council has introduced free two-hour parking in the MacCabe Park Car Park, directly south of the Centre.

Parking is also currently free in the three GPT multi-storey car parks closest to the vaccination hub:

P3 Gateway Building - Corner Keira and Burelli Streets
Enter via Keira or Kenny Streets
Walk over the footbridge to Crown Street Malll
Access the Centre from the top of Globe Lane (between St George Bank and Athlete's Foot).
P2 Crown Building
Enter via Market Street
Walk out through one of the two exits in the Crown Building - one onto Crown St and another to Church St above the amphitheatre
From there it's an easy walk to the Centre in Globe Lane.
P1 Keira Building
Enter via Market or Regent Streets
Walk out through the GPT building - either onto Keira Street or across the walkway to Crown Street Mall.

If you have mobility issues and require disabled access or a shorter walk, the InterPark car park (the former David Jones car park on Church Street) gives direct access to Globe Lane and the Centre, with nominated disabled car spaces on the ground floor. Please contact the Bookings team on 1300 096 365 with any questions regarding access and disability parking.

The Centre also has a Quiet Room for people with special needs, and for those who require additional support.
