We have services to help you find your way.
See your GP (doctor) to confirm your pregnancy and they will be able to put you in touch with people to help you.
At the hospital, we have a variety of interpreters available in person or over the phone.
Some family members like to interpret for you, but if we say something you don't understand, it's best to have an interpreter to help.
Please let reception staff know what language you speak at home.
Need an Interpreter? Professional interpreters are available if you need help to communicate with staff. Our staff can also ask for an interpreter. The service is free and confidential. We will book the interpreter for you.
You can also call the Translating and Interpreting Service on 131 450 if you need to speak to us before your appointment.

Neonatal (baby) Services
Staff in our neonatal (baby) units say that looking after newborn babies is "very fulfilling and rewarding".
We look after sick, premature babies in our units as well as term babies that need a little extra care after birth.
Our staff at Wollongong and Shoalhaven Hospitals strive to continue providing the best possible care and a safe, supportive environment for your precious baby and your family.
